Yes. However please drink only as much as you can manage. We do not sell alcohol on the premises but it can be arranged for you. So if you must indulge, please get your own liquor and licenses. If you are sharing the property with other guests, please do not drink in the common areas.
Yes, all our rooms are smoking rooms. Smoking is not permitted in the common areas. If there are other guests in the property, and if they complain about the smoke, we will have to request you to put it off. Please be mindful about NOT smoking in the vicinity of children and pregnant women.
Yes, we serve sumptuous veg and non-veg food. We have different utensils for preparing veg and non-veg meals. We ensure the highest form of hygiene in the kitchen.
We have pre-set meals, and no A La-carte. Gaaj is located several kilometers from the market. Therefore, it is very challenging to procure ingredients to serve you. Therefore, we work on a preorder basis. We keep stock reserves of consumables. So we will try to do our best to serve you what is possible.
We realise that pets are our phenomenal companions, therefore Gaaj is pet friendly. We expect our guests to get their own pet food as stocking up pet food is not a practical option for us. Please make sure that your pet does not disturb the harmony of other guests.
Check-in time : 12:00PM Check-out time : 11:00AM If there are no bookings prior or later, we may allow early check-ins and late check-outs. However, please do not take this flexibility for granted. If there are any time deviation requests, please consult our staff prior to arriving at the property.

Summer : Summers are hot but it is a great time for the authentic Ratnagiri Alphonso Mangoes. Some seasonal activities too can be experienced such as the mango picking activity that is conducted annually during the summers. The summers also bring with it the best of seasonal produce such as Kokam, Chikku, Jackfruits, Cashews etc. which brings more variety to our delectable food menu. All our cottages have powerful ACs and the entire resort is backed up by powerful generator. So we make your stays comfortable even during the Summer.

Monsoon : There no fun like sipping hot coffee in your private porch while watching the rain. Monsoon is also the time when the two natural waterfalls at Gaaj are active. The experience of getting drenched in pure natural water is amazing. If you want to enjoy experiences like paddy plantation, Monsoon is the best season to visit.

Winters : Winters are a pleasant time. There’s plenty of sea food available and there are several festivals and events to celebrate. A cold wintery night is also a great time for barbecue conversations around a bonfire and for star gazing."
You can fill out an enquiry form from our Contact page and we will try to call you asap. You can then proceed with your booking by transferring the amount to our bank account. Optionally, you can also check the availability of different accommodations online, and make the booking by completing the online checkout process.
We have enlisted the maximum occupancy for each room on this page. We will provide you with additional beds, as per the maximum occupancy listed here.
We require an Indian Government recognised valid photo ID and address proof for each guest. The documents accepted are – Aadhar, Driving License, Passport. For children, we request you to carry a valid age proof.
We have nothing to do with your marital status, as long as you are above the age of 18. Under certain circumstances we may ask for valid ‘age verification’ documents approved by the Government of India. People under the age of 18 years may not be permitted in the property without adult supervision.
We do not have a room service facility. But we can accommodate requests for special needs.

Yes, we have a high speed wifi connection in a common facility. However, the connection may destabilise due to factors beyond our control.
Most service providers have network at some points in the resort. Since the resort is nestled amongst dense nature, the range of your network provider may not be at its best, however the Vodafone network seems to work more than the others. Currently, the entire resort is not covered by any particular mobile service provider.
Here is what the food may look like. However, there may be changes to this pre set menu. Please treat the below as a guideline and not a commitment.

Breakfast : 1 or 2 common dishes like Idli, Pohe, Upma, Dosa, etc. Eggs can be provided upon request (subject to availability). Tea and coffee is provided along with the breakfast.

High Tea : Usually a limited quantity of a small snack like Kanda Bhaji, Sandwiches are provided in the evening along with biscuits, tea and coffee.

Lunch and Dinner : Usually includes One dry veg / non-veg item, One gravy veg / non-veg item, Chapatis / Bhakri, Salad, Papad, Pickle, Dal and Rice. Limited quantity of sweet is usually provided along with Lunch or Dinner.
Children under the age of 5 are allowed to stay for free. However their meals are charged seperately. . Max 2 children per room. Children above the age of 5 will be charged as adults. We request you to carry a government approved age proof of children and produce them upon request.
