Every year, the beach of Palshet gets littered with plastic and other inorganic waste. But the unfortunate part is that this littering is not done by the locals of Palshet or nearby areas. Palshet beach lies at the junction of the River and the Arabian sea. The river brings all the plastic waste dumped in from the upstream. This plastic waste gets deposited at the mouth of the river.

Simultaneously, the Arabian sea is known for not keeping anything within. So, all the plastic waste dumped in the sea from the nearby coastal areas is washed back during the high tide, thereby littering the beach.

Sadly, the people of Palshet fall victim to the irresponsible behaviour of the nearby communities. We, at Gaaj, always strive hard and contribute to the well-being of society. Especially, when it comes to the environment, we believe in reducing, reusing and recycling. And the beach cleaning activity is just a testimony to our belief.

Like every year, this year too, we carried out the beach cleaning activity enthusiastically. The Gaaj Resort team and several other dignitaries, volunteers from the Palshet and Guhagar area, came together in the month of April 2022 to restore the beauty of the beach by getting rid of the harmful pollutants and plastic waste.
